Yudo Price Capture — privacy

Yudo Price Capture is a Chrome extension that sends supplier prices from Chef’Store pages to your Yudo price review. This page says exactly what it reads, what it sends and what it keeps.

What it reads

Only Chef’Store order-detail pages (chefstore.com/shopping/orderDetails/…) and product pages (chefstore.com/p/…). It looks at those pages to decide whether to show its Send to Yudo button, and sends nothing until you click it.

When you click it, it sends: product names, Chef’Store item numbers, brands, unit and case sizes, unit and case prices (sale prices included), how many were available, and the order number and date. Nothing else on the page is sent — not your Chef’Store login, payment or delivery details. It reads no other website and none of your browsing history.

Where it goes

To the Yudo business account you connected the extension to, over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to api.getyudo.com. The prices wait in Price review; nothing in your catalog changes until someone on your team confirms them.

To match a product to your catalog, Yudo may send its name and supplier to the AI model it uses for matching. Yudo’s hosting and database providers store it as part of running Yudo. They process it only to provide Yudo to you.

What it keeps in Chrome

A connection token and your business’s name, in the extension’s own storage on your computer. Choose Disconnect in the extension, or remove the connection in Yudo’s Prices page, and the token stops working and is deleted.

What Yudo keeps

The prices you send become part of your business’s price history in Yudo, like prices from receipts or invoices. Other Yudo businesses never see your prices, and nothing shown to them identifies your business. To have your prices deleted, email contact@getyudo.com.

Benchmarks

Yudo may combine the prices you send with prices from other Yudo businesses to work out benchmarks — for example, the typical price paid for a product in your area — and show them to Yudo businesses, yours included, so you can tell whether you’re paying too much.

A benchmark is a single combined figure. It never names a business or shows any one business’s price, and Yudo shows one only when prices from at least five businesses go into it, so no one’s price can be worked out from it.

Yudo may also use product names, brands and pack sizes from many businesses to recognize the same product across suppliers, so matching gets better for everyone.

To keep your prices out of benchmarks, email contact@getyudo.com. Prices you have deleted are left out of every benchmark worked out after that.

What it never does

Yudo does not sell this data or benchmarks made from it, use it for advertising, or use it to judge creditworthiness. It shares it with no one beyond the providers above; other businesses only ever see benchmarks. The extension shows no ads, does not track you, and runs no code from the internet.

The use of information received through the extension complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
