Delete your Yudo account
You can delete your Yudo account from Settings. Nothing you made is deleted for 30 days, so you can change your mind.
How to delete it
- On the dashboard (app.getyudo.com): Settings → Delete account.
- In the phone app: Settings → Delete my account.
- To confirm, type the phrase Yudo shows: DELETE ACCOUNT, or ELIMINAR CUENTA in Spanish.
- Can't sign in? Email contact@getyudo.com from the address you sign in with, and write "Delete my account".
The 30 days
- When you ask, you're signed out everywhere, your phones stop getting Yudo notifications, and any Yudo subscription in Stripe is cancelled.
- To keep your account, sign in on the dashboard or the app before the date and choose Keep my account.
- We email you when you ask, 3 days before the date, and when it's done.
- After 30 days, your account is deleted for good.
What's deleted
- After 30 days, we delete:
- your sign-in, name and email;
- your chats with Yudo, and the assistant's record of what it did for you;
- your personal settings and dashboard layout;
- your personal to-dos;
- your phones' notification tokens;
- invitations sent to your email address, whatever their status.
- You also leave every business you belong to.
If you're a business's primary owner
- When you ask, you choose for each business you're the primary owner of:
- Hand it over to one of its co-owners. They become the primary owner right away, and the business stays open with everything in it. If you keep your account, you stay a co-owner.
- Close it. Your team is told by notification and email. The business is read-only for 30 days: people can still see everything, but can't add anything. Then everything in it is deleted, including receipts and their photos (and the small copies), recipes, the catalog and its photos, inventory, tasks and their photos, imports, and the Square, Clover and Google Business Profile connections.
- To hand a business to someone who isn't a co-owner yet, first make them a co-owner on the Team page.
- If you keep your account within the 30 days, a business you closed reopens.
What's kept
- What you made for a business stays with that business. It shows as made by "Former team member".
- An anonymous placeholder for your account, with no name or email, so those records still point somewhere.
- A deletion log of ids and dates only, with no names or emails, as proof the request was carried out.
- If a Stripe customer was ever created for you, Stripe keeps it and its invoices for tax records. Yudo no longer links it to you.
- Copies in backups, until the backups expire.
